Our Barbeque and Wine Tasting events were record-breaking this year thanks to some very special community members, as well as the community at large. On behalf of the Fallen Leaf Lake CSD Board of Directors, the firefighters, and myself, I want to thank everyone involved who helped make these events happen.
Special thanks to making the Barbeque a success includes Stanford Sierra Camp staff who donate time, food and labor. Thanks to Alan Nichols and his band for providing the music. Also, thank you to the cardboard race participants, and all who contributed food dishes to our fantastic buffet. The event raised $8,561.00 in donations for the Fire Department.
Due to the tireless work of Patty Working procuring wine donations as well as auction items and organizing the event, it was an unprecedented Wine Tasting. We cannot thank her enough. We also want to thank Stanford Sierra Camp staff, those who donated auction items and food, and to all of the attendees. This event raised $11,600.00.
There are many volunteers to thank for both events as well, who are too numerous to name, but we owe our deep appreciation.
