Fallen Leaf Lake Community Services District

For Emergencies, Call 911

Back in July, the Parks & Recreation Ad Hoc Committee asked the community for input on the future of the General Store, Cafe, Marina, and Community Center. Thank you to the 190 households who completed the survey and the 25 neighbors who joined us in person on July 26 — your input gave the board a clear, detailed picture of what’s working and where residents want to see change.

Results were presented to the board at the August 8 workshop. This session was intentionally structured as a workshop rather than a traditional board meeting, to allow for more open dialogue and discussion between the community and board members. Recurring themes included interest in a package/parcel locker service at the store, grocery and cafe menu feedback, marina pricing and safety concerns for non-motorized craft, and strong feelings about traffic and parking during peak hours. The board also heard a range of resident perspectives on funding options for Parks & Rec going forward.

We’ve posted the full results below for anyone who wants the details:

Thank you again for taking the time to weigh in — this kind of turnout is exactly what helps the board make informed decisions for the community.
