Meeting Highlights
- Fallen Leaf Foundation Update: The Board received an update from the Fallen Leaf Foundation.
- Parks & Recreation Planning: The ad hoc committee will get a revised proposal from Municipal Resources Group, LLC to help develop a business plan and an interim solution for the 2027 season. The Board will consider it at a future meeting.
- Marina Repairs: Director Kramer volunteered to research priority repairs and maintenance for the Marina. He’ll report back with options at the November 14, 2026 Board meeting.
- General Manager Transition: The General Manager’s resignation takes effect December 31, 2026. President Sipprell and Director Kramer will serve on an ad hoc committee, and the Board directed that recruitment move forward.
- Ballot Measure / Special Election: No action was taken. President Sipprell will get a proposal from a consultant to explore alternatives.
- Administrative Assistant: The Board approved a job description for a new Administrative Assistant position and adopted Resolution 2026-015, which sets the salary.
- Government Affairs Committee: Directors Sipprell and Kerr were appointed to a new Government Affairs Ad Hoc Committee.
- FY 2023–24 Audit: The General Manager will prepare a Management Discussion and Analysis response to the draft audit, working with the budget ad hoc committee (Directors Martin and Kerr).
- Big Blue Hospitality Assets: The concessionaire has given notice that it will end its agreement in December 2026. The Board directed the General Manager to prioritize installation and de-installation costs, plus assets essential to marina operations and public safety.
