A number of people have and are inquiring about when the Marina will open. The Marina is open now - both for the wash and launch of water craft and to obtain slips for boat mooring.

The Store is partially open; providing coffee, doughnuts and limited clothing stock (and more with each passing day.) It will continue to be more open over the coming few weeks as the District's new concessionnaire completes its remodel and stocking of the shelves.

For more information on boat wash, launching and mooring as well as information about the Store, call the Store number, (530) 544-5323, and ask for Lionel.

At its May 14, 2011 meeting the Directors of the Fallen Leaf Lake Community Services District unanimously voted to accept the proposal of Tahoe Recreation, a division of California Land Management, to operate the District's General Store and Marina for a five-year period beginning this season.

The proposal calls for Tahoe Recreation to pay the District a minimum of $50,000 plus 10% of gross revenues up to a limit of $500,000. Additionally, the District will receive 5% of all revenues in excess of $500,000.

All parties are working to get the Store and Marina open as soon as possible. Continuing winter weather and the target to present a contract for District board approval at the May 28th meeting make it questionable that the facilities will be able to open on the Memorial Day weekend. News of the official opening date for the Store and Marina will be made on this website as soon as it can be determined.

The Regularly Scheduled FLLCSD Meeting on May 7, 2011 is postponed. The meeting will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the City of South Lake Tahoe's City Council Chambers / South Lake Tahoe Airport.

While many of the items on the agenda for April 16, 2011 are carryovers from the two, snow-canceled March meeting, there are some new items. Board Packet #1 contains an updated report by the Chief / AGM. Board Packet #2 contains financial reports through March 31, 2011. In these reports each of the three FLLCSD Divisions is represented by a Balance Sheet, a Profit & Loss Statement for the month of March, 2011, and a cumulative P&L for the first three quarters of the District's Fiscal Year.
